Steamed muffins are a typical oriental dessert, super soft and tasty. The ingredients are the most traditional but the particularity obviously lies in their cooking inside a steamer, strictly made of bamboo! Even if they are oriental or Japanese I don't know if they have something, I recommend them because they are very simple to make and the dough is really very soft, almost like that of a cloud.

How to make steamed muffins
In a bowl, mix sugar, egg, oil and water until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Add the flour and baking powder and start working again until the mixture is thick and free of lumps.
Pour half the dose into the first 3 cups.
Now add the cocoa to the bowl with the rest of the mixture and work until it is completely amalgamated.
Now put the cocoa mixture in the other 3 cups.
When the pot with the water starts to boil, place the steamer on top and the cups inside.
Cook with the lid on for about 15-20 minutes.
Your steamed muffins are ready to be enjoyed.
